Madeleine Argust

Communications professional in Columbus, OH

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication from The Ohio State University. O-H! Since graduating summa cum laude, I have spent my time working in the communications departments of a national nonprofit organization and a State of Ohio government agency. Most recently, I was with Molina Healthcare for 18 months as a Health Plan Communications Specialist, creating member materials for a Fully Integrated Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (FIDE SNP) in Massachusetts. Currently, I am employed through Robert Half and on contract as a proofreader/copywriter, working on the Creative Services team at Williams Lea to support a global banking client. I continue to search and apply for my next full-time role. In an effort to further diversify my skillset, I am particularly interested in working within sectors such as finance or higher education. Griselle Marino, Dr. h.c.

Community Advocacy & Public Affairs Executive | Multi–Emmy Award-Winning Journalist | FIU Hall of Fame Inductee | Certified Chaplain

Dr. Griselle Marino is a multi–Emmy Award–winning journalist, five-time Emmy nominee, and two-time Emmy Award recipient whose career spans senior leadership roles in public-sector governance, legislative communications, emergency management, and community advocacy. She was inducted into Florida International University’s School of Communication + Journalism Hall of Fame — a distinction recognizing outstanding professional achievement and industry impact. She currently directs the Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board under the purview of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, where she works closely with elected leadership on governance, public engagement, and policy initiatives in one of the most diverse counties in the nation. Prior to this position, Dr. Marino served for more than seven years as Communications and Media Director for the Office of Community Advocacy, overseeing communications strategy and public engagement efforts for 12 County advisory boards and the Goodwill Ambassadors Program. In that Office-wide leadership role, she directed bilingual messaging, supported legislative coordination, strengthened digital transparency, and ensured compliance with public records and Sunshine Law requirements. Over the course of nearly 20 years of public service with Miami-Dade County, Dr. Marino has served under nine Commission Chairs in executive communications and advisory roles, including as Executive Director of the Media Division of the Board of County Commissioners and as Media and Public Affairs Manager for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Emergency Management. Her work has required strategic judgment in politically sensitive environments, oversight of public records compliance, and coordination across multiple departments and stakeholder groups. Earlier, she established herself in broadcast journalism, interviewing global leaders and covering defining moments in modern history. Her investigative reporting earned local and national recognition, as well contributed to congressional and international human-rights discussions. Dr. Marino holds degrees from Miami Dade College and Florida International University, completed advanced legal studies coursework, and is a Certified Chaplain and recipient of an honoris causa Doctorate in Ministry for Advocacy and Journalism. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is committed to principled leadership, institutional continuity, and service-driven governance.
