Brieanna Casey

GT ELAR Teacher & Freelance Writer/Editor

My two passions are writing and teaching, and I've always found a home where they intersect. I'm currently a Gifted/Talented English teacher and freelance writer/editor based in Dallas, specializing in journalistic, academic, and creative writing.  My BA and MA degrees in English focused on language, literature, and education. My 15 years' experience working in primary, secondary, and higher education roles informs and impassions my writing projects relating to education, technology, health/wellness, lifestyle/entertainment, and local reporting. An overview of publications are as follows: reporter and copyeditor for TWU's student newspaper, The Lasso; contributing writer for the Denton Record-Chronicle, Argyle Living, Lantana Living; blogger for The Tutoring Center; and ghostwriter for HealthMarkets.com, GardeningChannel.com, Relieved.com, and Shareably.com. I'm currently available for hire, and look forward to collaborating with you on your next writing project.

Mary Reilly

Communications Consultant & Copywriter

Mary Reilly graduated from William Smith College with a BA in English, cum laude, and has an MBA from Columbia Business School in Marketing and Finance. Most of her 20+ year career has been spent in marketing and public relations roles at high-technology and Web-based companies, both on the corporate/agency sides and as an independent consultant. A serious “foodie” with an entrepreneurial spirit, Mary was a partner in a former restaurant and a caterer. A recently "confirmed bachelorette", she is now involved in the dating industry and is co-authoring a book with Dr. Martin Kelly entitled: "Hacking The Heartbreak Hotel". Her particular strengths include branding, naming, tag lines, blog articles, website copy, and engaging audiences with outside-the-box creativity and humor. Based upon her education, work experience, entrepreneurial ventures, and volunteer work, Mary is capable of writing copy for a company in virtually any industry--B2B or B2C, or for a non-profit. She believes that the lines between those two worlds are increasingly blurring and that copy must be written with the perspective that engagement is now H2H (Human-to-Human and Heart-to-Heart). Referrals and testimonials available upon request.
