Jamie Garcia

Managing Editor | Content Production Manager | Copywriter | Communications Professional

With a background in journalism, I'm passionate about telling compelling stories. I have 10+ years of combined experience in digital publishing, content production and marketing, SEO, social media, creative copywriting, and editorial project management. I've worked on the in-house creative team at a branding and marketing agency, with multiple enterprise clients at a content marketing agency, and as an independent freelance writer/editor. I've played a vital role in helping clients in the SaaS/B2B, healthcare, and financial services industries implement impactful content strategies aimed at boosting engagement and growing their businesses. I've also managed high-volume content production cycles from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency, while mentoring contractors and building client relationships. I have experience implementing style guides and SEO/regulatory/compliance standards while maintaining a narrative flow, distilling complex topics into digestible content, converting technical SEO briefs into editorial outlines for writers, and working with SMEs to inform content and provide a unique perspective. Lastly, I've added AI to my tool belt in the last few years, using it to boost workflow efficiencies, ideate, research, prepare, and more. Below is a snapshot of some of the work I've done. If you're interested in learning more about me or working together, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn or shoot me an email!

Gabrielle Simpson-Hass

Marketing and Technical Content Specialist

There's nothing quite like a personal voice to make an organization stand out. The internet is a big place - to connect with your chosen audience, it's important to make a genuine connection. My driving purpose is to help people find the information they need to achieve their goals. Whether that's through writing top-shelf content for brands as diverse as law offices and horticultural websites, or producing specialized technical content for the back-end of major organizations, connecting people with information is always my core objective. By creating unique voices and content for every client, I aim to help increase others' knowledge in a real way. My experience as a content creator and technical writer has given me a deep understanding of the importance of clear communication. It has also given me the skills that allow me to expand access to accurate information in a variety of mediums. Social media marketing, SEO-oriented content creation, long-form content development, and technical writing are just a few of the specialties I use daily to support my own and others' brands while making the Web a better place.

Brielle Diskin

Culture writer and editor

I'm a writer and editor based in New York City, specializing in pop culture, youth media, and the cultural moments that shape how we understand modern life. As Associate Editor at The Week Junior, I lead entertainment and culture coverage for readers ages 8–14—a demographic that's harder to impress and more media-literate than most adults. My freelance work has appeared in Business Insider, Elite Daily, Hey Alma, Men's Health, and American Studies, where I write cultural criticism that's warm, sharp, and quietly funny. I also write the Substack newsletter, Obits and Bobs, which gives the obituary treatment to cultural trends, archetypes, and intangible concepts—examining what it means when something fades from relevance.

I have a passion for political reporting, education reporting and photojournalism. I'm also experienced in writing breaking news and feature stories, and I enjoy travel and creative non-fiction writing on the side. I'm a journalist for two reasons: I love the heart behind reporting, and I love the art behind storytelling. I'm currently a reporting fellow at the Fort Worth Report, reporting on school districts and arts around Arlington, Texas. Previously, I interned at Al Jazeera English's Fault Lines documentary series in Washington, D.C., and I was the former managing editor at The University of Texas at Arlington's student publication, The Shorthorn.
