Welcome! I'm Chris: an English nerd, improviser/sketch comedy performer, and young professional with 10+ years of experience in creating and designing optimized content in fast-paced, technology-driven environments.
Most recently, I've served as the first-ever Senior UX Content Strategist in the Slalom Chicago market. Slalom is a purpose-led, global business and technology consulting company.
A couple of my Slalom highlights included:
(1.) I served as the Communications Lead for our engagement with the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH). See my CV link below for some deeply meaningful highlights.
(2.) Worked with key internal Slalom UX teammates and SVP of marketing for major professional sports organization to brand and name their 12 UX research-based customer segments.
(3.) Led content strategy arm of engagement with a major pharmaceutical company, helping them develop and implement a full brand identity for a groundbreaking new product and leading UX work for their back-end interface.
(4.) Held internal workshops for colleagues on how to effectively message and tell stories to various audiences. Worked with senior leadership to present content.
Prior to Slalom, I served as Great Wolf Resort's Senior Copywriter, leading the charge on bringing their mission of bringing joy to families to life through family-friendly, joyful content.
—Wrote and finalized copy for co-branded attractions in-lodge, including the Topgolf Swing Suite co-branded attraction The Yards
—Branded voice & tone for larger celebrations, including company's first-ever brand evolution and 25th anniversary celebration, through in-lodge collateral creation and brand guidebook evangelization.
—Possessed final approval on all internal and external pieces of content & developed the company's Brand Guidelines.
I also love to write in my personal life! In May 2021, I had my debut book SEEKING ADVERSITY published by New Degree Press.

One-pager outlining the UX/UI and branding work I did as lead content strategist and copywriter for NABP's 2023 groundbreaking product launch.
A high-level overview of the work I did and its impact for a prestigious Chicago-based medical school's launch of their first-ever organization-wide mission, vision, and values. Not pictured, but still included, is UX/UI design of the landing page for desktop and mobile, script writing, social toolkits (confidentiality).
One-pager outlining the work I did as lead copywriter for the 2022 fall COVID-19 vaccine awareness campaign Boost Up Cook County.
Short case study summarizing the overall impact of my work branding the a public sector initiative on behalf of a high-profile, Chicago-based public health organization.
Press release I wrote and designed according to our client's brand guidelines for October 2022 launch of flagship public health initiative.
I acted as creative director, lead copywriter, and lead designer for my Slalom team's final, 30-page impact report for Slalom's public health organization engagement. Audience was organization's COO & Slalom executives. Captures Slalom's impact in the suburban Cook County community.
Included is the 14-page external communications guide I developed for funded mission-driven organizations for groundbreaking public health initiative.
I synthesized, wrote, and designed qualitative research from one-on-one listening sessions Slalom held with 16 mission-driven local organizations throughout suburban Cook County. I was creative director, designer, and copywriter; this report would go on to inform CCDPH's strategic org. planning toward 2025.
