Gabey Lucas

Freelance writer, producer, jack of many trades

If you're reading this and you know who I am, it's probably because you're a Washington Huskies fan who has followed my work through the absolute rollercoaster of the last decade-ish. But you're probably not and probably don't, which is cool. I'm a writer, editor, producer, comedian, and generally adaptable person. Can engineer copy with three-word precision or write you an unhinged weirdo voice'd 20 minute read (or something in between); can produce the logistics of making your media happen, can edit whatever words you want to make them better. There are even lots of comments on the internet -- AKA the meanest place on Earth -- saying nice things about my ability to put words in a pleasant order, something scientists previously thought impossible. Below are a few pieces under my own byline, but I've otherwise written copy for Amex, Marriott, the Seattle Kraken, Bartell Drugs, Uwajimaya, Kaiser Permanente, Western Washington Medical Group, and more. Say hi at gabeylucas@gmail.com

Julie Bowers

Freelance Writer and Marketer

Julie Bowers is a creative and motivated writer and marketer from York County, Pennsylvania. Julie's passion for writing was ignited at just fourteen years old when she decided to pursue professional songwriting. Despite facing numerous obstacles and challenges along the way, her determination allowed her to hone her craft and develop her skills which she utilized in 2020 during a financial crisis. A global pandemic swept our world and she was left with dwindling resources. As a last ditch effort, she invested her last $300 into a domain name, five products, and a logo. With nothing, but the internet as her guide, she taught herself how to open an online store and utilized both writing and social media skills to advertise her products. Through hard work and creativity, she was able to turn a desperate situation into a thriving business. This is a testament to her resilience, innovation, and adaptability. Julie’s writing took on a more serious, mature tone when she found herself in an abusive relationship. She was forced to make the difficult decision to leave everything behind and move back to her hometown. Despite the turmoil, Julie found solace in writing. She poured her heart and soul onto the page, using her gift for words to process her pain. She also began to share her story with others, hoping to inspire those who may be going through similar experiences. Julie is now pursuing her dream of becoming a published author and is currently working on her first book. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, and her story serves as a reminder that our struggles can become our greatest strengths. As Julie continues to share her voice through her writing, she hopes that her words become a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope and a chance for a brighter tomorrow.
