Julie Gonzálezová

Writer

As a daughter of a Cuban father and a Czech mother, I always oscillated between these two very different cultures. This diversity created a strong interest in foreign languages and customs. I studied Spanish Philology at Charles University in Prague, and in 2024, I finished an Undergraduate Diploma in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford. Books and writing have always been close to my heart. For the last 4 years, I have been working in a publishing house in Prague as a book editor, as well as translating from English and Spanish to Czech or copywriting and writing texts for different media. Going forward, I want to focus mainly on my own writing.
