I have occasionally created content through writing, songwriting, photography and later video production for over half a century.

I am currently focused on writing short pieces of creative and investigative non-fiction and some fiction. A few of my articles and stories have been published in local periodicals. I have posted stories on the writing sites Wattpad, Medium & Substack as G.G. Niemi.

For over five decades, I have been involved in music as a drummer, songwriter, publisher & promoter- most notably in association with Rhythm Cat Records.
I have been a member of SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) since 1988.
I have added a video that I produced of a song I co-wrote called "Let's All Stand-A Song for Canada".

I also enjoy photography. Some of my photos. have been published on sites such as BruceGreySimcoe and the Globe and Mail.

For over thirty years, I spent my spare time working in the Community Support Sector initially as a Social Worker and then for the majority of my career as a Supervisor of programs such as Meals on Wheels.

It was posted on the Easter Seals Ontario website as part of their centennial celebrations in 2022.

Two of My Doctors Who Died By The Gun

Two Doctors attended my premature birth in the mid 1950s In Port Arthur Ontario Canada (now part of Thunder Bay): Dr. Stephen Morton and Dr. David Burnford. Dr. Morton stayed by my incubator all night, to try to make sure I would survive. Both these attending physicians at my birth would later die by the gun.

Glenn Niemi's Story - Easter Seals Ontario

Very little has been "usual" in Glenn Niemi's life. Including his journey to becoming a Regional Easter Seals Ambassador (or "Timmy") in 1968. Glenn grew up in Northwestern Ontario. He lived with his family, which included his mother, father, and younger brother Mark, in Port Arthur (now part of Thunder Bay).
