Max Silver

Writer | Editor | Artist | Storyteller

United States

Max Silver is a Bay Area writer, editor, and content strategist with a background that spans investigative journalism, brand messaging, and multimedia storytelling.
He currently serves as content strategist and lead writer for DayDaCo, a clean energy startup working to reduce carbon emissions in commercial trucking and build out hydrogen fuel cell infrastructure across the US. In that role he ghostwrites and edits everything from executive communications and investor-facing documents to website copy and long-form business plans — taking a complex, high-stakes vision and making it land clearly on the page.

Max is also the creator and founder of Adventures in Calthumbria, a medieval sci-fi fantasy multimedia series he has been building since 2020. Three manuscripts, two complete seasons of audio drama, and a hand-painted and digital watercolor illustration style later, the project is on the verge of a YouTube release and live show rollout. He leads a cross-functional team of voice actors, musicians, animators, and sound designers while maintaining the creative vision across every medium the project touches.

Before that, he was a staff writer and journalist for Broke-Ass Stuart, covering arts, culture, and social issues across the Bay Area. His investigative reporting on misconduct allegations within a major national yoga organization led directly to its disbanding and sparked a wider national conversation.

Max holds a BA in Art from UC Santa Cruz. He is a copyeditor, brand voice architect, and storyteller who has learned — across every one of these jobs — that the goal is always the same: say something true, say it well, and make people want to keep reading.
