Leah Browning is an American writer and editor. She is the author of Two Good Ears and Loud Snow, mini-books of short fiction published by Silent Station Press, and When the Sun Comes Out After Three Days of Rain, a collection of poetry published by Kelsay Books. She is also the author of three short nonfiction books, all of which were published by Capstone Press, and six chapbooks of poetry and fiction. In addition to writing, Browning has edited the Apple Valley Review, an online literary journal, since 2005.

The porch was cluttered, though at dusk under the burned-out bulb I couldn't have told you with what, and the screen door banged shut behind us as we walked inside.
