Later this year the record-breaking UK country music duo Ward Thomas will be releasing their eagerly anticipated third album. The new LP will be released via Sony Music and follows their outstanding independent debut release From Where We Stand and their major label debut Cartwheels.
Wales has a rich music history with artists like Sir Tom Jones, Katherine Jenkins, Charlotte Church, Duffy and many more hailing from small Welsh villages. While the country undoubtedly has a lot of musical talent, can you believe there is not one major record label based in the country?
It's crazy to think, but even as little back in time as 2012, country was only thought of as an 'American thing'. There were no UK acts on the scene, well not in the main charts anyway.
