I lead a team of eight reporters and three editors addressing misinformation on politics, health, climate change, immigration and more. We publish 100+ stories monthly, including fact-checks, long-form explainers and live fact-checking of key political events. My role includes overseeing daily story assignments to ensure partisan and topical balance, as well as setting and enforcing the highest standards for accuracy, fairness and clarity. I also oversee hiring and staff development, manage grants and partnerships and coordinate with all corners of the USA TODAY universe to ensure our work reaches the widest possible audience.
