Brielle Diskin

Culture writer and editor

United States

I'm a writer and editor based in New York City, specializing in pop culture, youth media, and the cultural moments that shape how we understand modern life.

As Associate Editor at The Week Junior, I lead entertainment and culture coverage for readers ages 8–14—a demographic that's harder to impress and more media-literate than most adults. My freelance work has appeared in Business Insider, Elite Daily, Hey Alma, Men's Health, and American Studies, where I write cultural criticism that's warm, sharp, and quietly funny.

I also write the Substack newsletter, Obits and Bobs, which gives the obituary treatment to cultural trends, archetypes, and intangible concepts—examining what it means when something fades from relevance.
