Environment and Conservation
Alice is a third-year journalism student at the University of Stirling. She has been writing for Brig Newspaper for over two years, and has been editor of their award-winning sister publication, BRAW Magazine, for eighteen months. As editor, she has collected the SPA award for Best Specialist Publication in Scotland 2025, co-produced the first ever physical edition of BRAW, and been recognised by the University of Stirling Students' Union as an equality champion.
Alice is a passionate nature and travel writer. Areas of interest include conservation and the environment, soft outdoor adventure, and accessible budget travel. She has had work published with Historic Environment Scotland and the Aberdeen Marine Mammals Project. Alice has also published with Catalan publication Diari de Barcelona (who provided translation) during her time abroad studying journalism at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
Culture (music, film, and arts) reviews also form a strong part of Alice's portfolio, especially in relation to Scotland.
