Former Motoring Editor for NationalWorld.com and the wider National World group, including The Scotsman, covering all aspects of motoring-related content including the latest car industry and consumer news, driving advice and laws, new car road tests and automotive product reviews. I've spent almost a decade writing about everything from the latest electric cars and how not to crash in bad weather to what it’s like to race a £300,000 Rolls-Royce down a dark runway and why a 40-year-old Citroen is the perfect car to comply with London’s ULEZ rules. When I'm not driving cars, writing about them or looking at pictures of them, I like tech, gaming, film and TV as well as falling down hills on my bike

Lauren John

Freelance Journalist And Copywriter

Creativity simply runs through my veins in all I do as a journalist and copywriter, my additional skills, and hobbies which range from crafting to writing song lyrics. I regularly work with or for copywriting agencies, print, and digital publications, musicians, small businesses, and individuals, all looking for consistent, clean, and sparkly copy. I have recently worked on projects for digital sites Reader's Digest and Delish UK, and regularly contribute articles to Air Malta's Inflight Magazine. With topics ranging from endometriosis and food podcasts to Queen tribute acts my journalism experience has been varied. I have special interests in mental health, music, and craft, but have adapted to other opportunities. As a copywriter, I earned my stripes crafting well-researched SEO copy and product descriptions, and have also worked on blogs, web content, landing pages, and press releases. This work is either through agencies or directly with individuals and businesses. I have specialisms in music and travel copywriting, but turn my hand to anything from audiobooks, firewood, and travel gear, to family history. Recent projects include an article on Middle East Architecture for a top travel content specialist (end client in US), and product copy for Debenhams.com. Please get in touch if you'd like to know more, and for more samples/info.

Fatima Ahmed Elmusbahi

Head of Content, Female Health Writer, Editorials & Podcast Director

My name is Fatima Ahmed Elmusbahi. I am a writer, editor, marketer, and female health advocate (with a particular passion for all things pregnancy and fitness related). In my own spare time, I collate research to contribute to my up-and-coming podcast, which highlights the predominantly brushed under-the-rug societal issues women face in pregnancy and motherhood. Despite becoming a mother only recently, I am passionately driven to become the best person I can be for me and my little one. Writing with intention and purpose is my ultimate motivator, and I happen to have collated multiple skills across my experience within a public relations and marketing agency (acting as head of content). Furthermore, my multiple liaisons across digital publications, in addition to my undergraduate degree in nutritional science, and my current undertaking of a master’s degree within marketing management have allowed me real hands on experience in being able to tackle all scopes of marketing, editorials and health combined. Recent projects of mine include acting as lead copy editor for Supplements Reviews. This role requires ongoing, at the forefront nutritional research and analysis, to allow continuous adaptions and debates towards mainstream health topics such as menopause, hormonal imbalances and supplementations that are available to aid quality of living. I have also liaised with investors and their literature pursuits in the digital realm, creating e-books and web copy to support entrepreneurs listed on Forbes ’30 under 30 for Media and Marketing’. I currently enjoy undertaking creative editorials where I am required to gather research, interviews, and data to support arguments for press worthy tales across the spectrum of feminism, patriarchy and placement in the world between the two. I enjoy challenging modern day thought, and curating stories from the many people I have happened to network amongst within my career to date. Publications and marketing projects that highlight favourite editorial activities of mine include the Beacon Quarterly, WhyNow and Pregnant Chicken. For future enquiries I can offer SEO focused copy and editing, in addition to all the listed genres below. - SEO research focused blog posts and content. - Website copy (with content planning and curation) - Press releases - E-books and Courses - Creative fiction and editorials Should you have a larger project in mind, I am happy to offer marketing focused packages that could cover a collection of the options listed above, and beyond. Navigating your specific business orientations and needs will not be a problem. Send me your thoughts over email and let's explore the possibilities!
