Vahn Wyrde

Story Writer

This is a compilation of some of my works both complete and drafts. My style of writing is heavily inspired by Japanese Light Novels which I believe is the style that suits me best. For it is efficient, compact, easily digestible, and provides colorful illustrations and a unique style of storytelling. My most ideal platform as a storyteller and writer is video games, for it has "Interaction". A way for the readers/players to interact, insert themselves and enjoy the story in a way that only a video game can accomplish. I love anime and video games, which is also where I found my passion for writing and being a game developer. DISCLAIMER: Those tagged with "fanfiction" means they are merely works of fiction. The Movies, Anime, and Video Games referenced and used for inspiration are owned by their respective owners.

Lauren John

Freelance Journalist And Copywriter

Creativity simply runs through my veins in all I do as a journalist and copywriter, my additional skills, and hobbies which range from crafting to writing song lyrics. I regularly work with or for copywriting agencies, print, and digital publications, musicians, small businesses, and individuals, all looking for consistent, clean, and sparkly copy. I have recently worked on projects for digital sites Reader's Digest and Delish UK, and regularly contribute articles to Air Malta's Inflight Magazine. With topics ranging from endometriosis and food podcasts to Queen tribute acts my journalism experience has been varied. I have special interests in mental health, music, and craft, but have adapted to other opportunities. As a copywriter, I earned my stripes crafting well-researched SEO copy and product descriptions, and have also worked on blogs, web content, landing pages, and press releases. This work is either through agencies or directly with individuals and businesses. I have specialisms in music and travel copywriting, but turn my hand to anything from audiobooks, firewood, and travel gear, to family history. Recent projects include an article on Middle East Architecture for a top travel content specialist (end client in US), and product copy for Debenhams.com. Please get in touch if you'd like to know more, and for more samples/info.

Jessica Ward

Writer

Jessica is a passionate writer residing in the Greater Boston area. A copywriter and editor by profession, she spends her days brewing endless coffee and adding to her "words to use later" list. And writing, of course. Even outside of her 9-5, she can't stop writing. She's a contributing writer to indie music blog Unheard Gems, and lends her skill to a variety of freelance clients, mainly in the music industry. She herself is a lifelong musician, having studied songwriting under seasoned industry professionals and Grammy voters. She uses the writing of music and lyrics as a way to understand the world around her. Whether those songs will ever see the light of day, only time will tell. While she mainly writes about lifestyle and the arts, she is also well-versed in the world of creative fiction. She took classes to enrich her storytelling in Copenhagen, Denmark in the fall of 2019, where she wrote her first-ever short play.

Adam Quarshie

Freelance Writer | Arts, Culture & Social Issues Journalist

I’m a freelance writer based in Bristol, UK. If there's a theme that ties all of my work together, it might be 'alternate worlds' or 'hidden narratives'. I'm fascinated by the different ways we make sense of the world and what stories we tell about it, whether through music, art, culture or politics. Much of my work has been in music and culture journalism - I’m interested in music at the experimental fringes, weird electronic sounds and variants of sound system culture, often viewed through a historical/political lens. I also write on social and political issues. I'm drawn to topics such as migration, diaspora, identity and belonging, mental health, and our relationship with the natural world. I recently started a Substack exploring some of these ideas. You can find the link below. Alongside my journalistic work, I've worked in digital communications roles for clients in the non-profit sector, including trade unions, community organisations and universities. I've done everything from web content and copywriting to video scripting, blog editing and newsletter campaigns.
